Research Areas

Communication Systems

This area emphasizes the principles and practices involved in the communication of information. The various steps involved in transmission of information-bearing signals at the transmitter (modulator) and in the recovery of meaningful information at the receiver (demodulator) form the backbone of the subject area. Signal design and signal processing are the two major disciplines in this area. Students of this subject area will typically find applications in the fast-growing communication industry.
