The ECE Project Laboratory offers our senior level
students a facility to pursue real-world design projects. The lab is subdivided into
design, and test and fabrication stations.
The design station consists of eight Pentium III
workstations, which are networked to the College of Engineering servers. Some of the
software included on these stations are the Mentor Graphics Suite of EDA tools, Xilinx
ISE, Matlab, and Microsoft Visual Studio as well as specialty software tools to support
individual senior projects.
The test and fabrication stations are used for the construction
and testing of hardware projects. These stations consist of common test and fabrication
equipment such as soldering stations, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
Additionally, portable test stations are available which house specialized test gear.
