MATLAB 2008

MATLAB 2008 installation details.

This page contains a step by step procedure (with the screen shots)
to setup and configure MATLAB 2008.

Please follow the following steps for the initial configuration
of the software.

Step 1: Choose to install MATLAB manually without using internet.

Step 2:Accept the terms of the license agreement and click “Next”.

Step 3: Provide the key given below as the File Installation Key
" 41238-15563-46550-49860-46670-02393-53381-58541 " and click "Next".

Step 4: Choose installation type as "Typical" and click "Next".

Step 5: Choose destination folder for the software in your system and click "Next".

Step 6: If the destination folder does not exist , choose "yes" to create new.

Step 7: Make sure to [download] the license file "license.dat" to your system
and provide the path of the downloaded .dat file as in your system when
prompted for "path to your license file" during installation.

Step 8 : Confirm the installation details and click "Install".

Step 9: Click "yes to all" to associate all the File Extension types to MATLAB.

Step 10: Check for any additional configuration steps which you have have to follow
and then Click "Next".

Step 10: Click "Finish".

Step 11: Before starting off with MATLAB , please configure your LAN as follows

a. Goto Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network Connections and open the
LAN connection.

b. Click on "Properties".

c. Select "TCP/IP" and click on "Properties".

d. Click on "Advanced" button and goto the "DNS" tab. Check the radio button
reading "Append these DNS suffixes (in order)" and add a new entry
sdsu.edu and click OK.

 

Step 12: MATLAB is now ready to be used.
