Murat Balci

Biography

Murat Balci is a Senior Engineering Manager at Meta, where he leads teams developing advanced camera systems and hardware-accelerated technologies for AI/AR glasses and next-generation wearable devices. He brings over 25 years of industry experience, including leadership roles at Qualcomm and engineering positions at ATI and AMD, with deep expertise in computer graphics, imaging, and mobile platforms.

Dr. Balci holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida and has contributed to research in computer graphics, image processing, and computer vision. He is an inventor on 20+ patents spanning graphics technologies, camera systems, and wearable computing.

As a member of the advisory board, Dr. Balci provides strategic guidance at the intersection of academia and industry, helping shape curriculum, strengthen industry partnerships, and advance innovation aligned with emerging technologies.
