COMPE 375 (Embedded Systems)

ES

In COMPE 375L students investigate and learn about embedded systems design with a focus on the Motorola HCS12 microprocessor. The course is designed around the Motorola Freescale development platform. In conjunction with this platform and the associated CodeWarrior programming software, students use "C" and assembly language programming to develop solutions to several experiments presented throughout the semester. Students complete assigned experiments that require the investigation of parallel and serial I/O programming, timers, Digital-to-Analog and Analog-to-Digital converters. Additionally students will learn how to use the microprocessor's interrupt structure for "real-time" programming solutions to their designs.
